Medciphers is a multi service health care company dedicated to serving non-English speaking communities by providing home care, translation and interpretation services, non-emergency transportation and medical staffing.
We work with hospitals, case management organizations, physician offices, home health agencies and other health care providers to improve delivery of care to non-English speaking patients. Our integrated programs allow our partner organizations to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and develop new sources of revenue.
Medciphers simultaneously works directly within the non-English speaking communities to integrate their healthcare delivery with the best American medicine, dramatically increasing utilization of beneficial preventative and non-emergency care.
Our mission is to ensure all patients receive the highest quality of care, regardless of language, culture, race or religion. When all members of our society are integrated into the American healthcare system, costs and outcomes improve and we all benefit.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
C. Christopher Trower
Chris is a founder, principal and board member of Medciphers. He is an Atlanta, Georgia based attorney in private practice with wide-ranging experience in business transactions, tax litigation and advisory services. He has served as lead independent director of Per-Se Technologies, Inc. (PSTI), the nation's largest provider of healthcare business management outsourcing services prior to its acquisition in 2007 by McKesson Corporation. Chris is a Rhodes scholar, receiving his B.A. from Yale University (magna cum laude, 1970) and his J.D. from Harvard Law School (cum laude, 1976). He has taught corporate tax in Emory Law School’s graduate LLM program, as well as partnership law and partnership tax at the University of Louisville School of Law.
Baoky N. Vu
Advisory Committee Member
Baoky is a member of the Medciphers Advisory Board and is active in strategic planning for the company. He is also a Principal of Silverberry Capital LLC, a strategic advisory firm based in Atlanta. Prior to Silverberry he served as Director of Equity Research and Portfolio Manager at A. Montag and Associates. Baoky is very involved in the Atlanta community, in particular the Vietnamese and broader Asian communities. Baoky serves on the board of directors at Georgia's largest nonprofit provider of healthcare at home, Visiting Nurses Health System. During the Bush Administration, he served on the Presidential Advisory Commission on Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders. He is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and he earned an M.B.A. from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.
D. Alan Quarterman
Alan is a founder, principal and Board Member of Medciphers. Alan is also a Partner of Five Paces Ventures and has extensive experience a principal investor and Advisor in private equity opportunities, including serving as Principal of Inverness Management LLC and a Managing Director of Mistral Management. During his career Alan has directed management teams and led operations and business development for his portfolio companies. Previous to Five Paces Alan spent eight years in the field of investment banking with Salomon Brothers in New York and The Robinson-Humphrey Company in Atlanta. He completed his undergraduate, J.D., and M.B.A. degrees at the University of Virginia.
Ron L. Clark
Chief Executive Officer
Ron is a seasoned Healthcare leader with over 25 years of experience in the home health, outpatient services and physician practice management arenas. From 1991 to 1996 Ron was Chief Accounting Officer for Health Images (NYSE/HII), and from 1996 to 2003 he was the Chief Financial Officer for two private healthcare organizations with national footprints. From 2003 until 2011 Ron was the Chief Operating Officer for an outpatient radiology practice and home health agency, ranging in revenues from $10 million to $210 million. In 2011 Ron developed the business plan for Medciphers, and in late 2012 Medciphers began serving patients and healthcare systems in the Atlanta, Georgia market. As of November 1, 2016 Medciphers has grown to employ over 300 nurses, caregivers and administrative personnel serving patients in 34 counties in North and Central Georgia.
